Azimuth : Architecture Office
DALLAS, TEXAS
1,500 s.f. Corporate Office Renovation

Azimuth Architecture’s highly functional corporate office is designed to support the
architects’ and designers’ dynamic, creative work process while reflecting the firm’s
diverse clientele. The space plan and work flow needs are translated into
dispersed meeting areas, idea walls, embedded support units and central gathering
points. The interior design marries exposed industrial elements with a refined high
end finish out. The palette utilizes a variety of materials and textures in unique ways,
such as ribbed metal-clad walls, zebrawood reception desk, cork floors, pivot
hinges, rolling barn doors, and invisible, curved curtain tracks. Cool grays and
warm woods are punctuated by the Azimuth signature orange color.

Creative design solutions are employed to manage acoustics, maintain budgetary
considerations, and foster communication. Overscale drapes divide and fill spaces
while controlling acoustics. Floating ceiling clouds dampen sound yet reveal the
underlying structure of the building. Selective use of use of doors encourages
teaming and communication. Rhythmic vertical bands intersect the space defining
office locations. An existing CMU wall cuts through the elliptical conference room
and reception area. The design carries the ellipse theme out from the conference
room into the floor and ceiling details of the reception area.
